W Retreat & Spa | Maldives | Fire Fire is, in our opinion, the most creative space within the F+B outlets at W. The open air cook line is shaped like an Entada bean pod, clad with hand beaten copper and lined with white Lucrite tops. The cook line consists of a custom refrigeration unit for fresh meats and salads, a Mongolian grill, BBQ, tandoor, and spit. Massive hand beaten copper drums encase the exhaust hoods. |

Guests have several choices for dining, in casual canvas directors chairs on a stone or sand surface, lower to the ground on beach mats or in lipstick red hammocks interspersed among the coconut palms. As the name suggests, fire is the name of the game here. Serving mostly meats, roasted or grilled open-air, the space is surrounded by many sources of fire, in the central urn circled by root furniture, bronze pots in the landscape or torchérs in the sand.
